As a child, he served on the March of Dimes Student Advisory Committee, and received an award from the office of the Mayor of New York for his contributions. Jeffrey always looks for ways to contribute, whether it's through monetary donation, or volunteering at soup kitchens in his native New York City.

He co-founded Friends of Buck's Rock in 2001, and served as President of the Board of Directors for many years, creating more than 50 scholarships to summer camp. He has served as a volunteer for the Front Row Foundation, an organization whose mission is to help individuals and families who are braving critical health challenges “Live Life In The Front Row.”™ Jeffrey performed concerts with Lifebeat’s Hearts & Voices Program, an on-going live performance series for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Related to making the world better, Jeffrey is plant based in his diet, for both philosophical and nutritional reasons. He believes this does less harm to animals, and our planet.
